Accountability

Governance

How we hold ourselves accountable. Transparency is a founding principle — we publish our policies alongside our research.

Organizational Charter

Antigenic Research Institute was established as a private research and technology entity with a mandate to advance open technology research, ecosystem stewardship, and independent inquiry.

The Institute operates under the direction of its Board of Directors, who set research priorities, approve publications, and ensure alignment with the organization's founding principles.

All research produced by the Institute is published openly. Software implementation and maintenance are carried by aligned operating organizations and community contributors. The Institute's role is research, stewardship, and public knowledge.

Compliance

The Institute maintains compliance with applicable federal and state regulations governing nonprofit research organizations, including financial reporting, tax obligations, and employment law.

Annual financial statements are prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and will be made available publicly upon completion of the first fiscal year.

Privacy Policy

The Institute collects minimal personal information. Contact form submissions (name, email, message) are processed solely for the purpose of responding to inquiries.

We do not sell, share, or distribute personal information to third parties. Analytics data is collected in aggregate form to understand site usage patterns.

Visitors may contact us to request deletion of any personal information we hold. Requests are processed within 30 business days.

Conflict of Interest Policy

Board members and staff must disclose any financial, professional, or personal relationships that could influence — or appear to influence — the Institute's research, publications, or partnerships.

Disclosures are reviewed by the Board annually. Individuals with a conflict of interest on a specific matter must recuse themselves from related decisions.

The Institute does not accept funding that conditions or restricts the publication of research findings.
